CHICKEN N' PICKEN !!
What a time we had in Walnut, KS! Thanks to Alan "Doc" Kimmel for suggesting
this destination to the LOH Travel Club. On May 12th, 2010, a whole bus load of
Shriners enjoyed a stop in Chanute as we visited the Osa Martin African Safari
Museum. Then it was on to Walnut. Nobody knew what to expect...but when we
got there, we were greeted by Karen....a bright eyed, cheery gal who told us to
"come on in you all". We were treated to a wonderful fried chicken dinner with all
the trimmin's. Afterward, the Band began to play. What a hoot! Thanks Steve &
Marge Suchsland for leading this really great trip.

have joined at the fence ... being entertained by the chickens.
Dean Owen and his lady Terri, Cliff Heckathorn, and John are admiring the
beautiful garden....it was pretty muddy out there but, well worth the walk.
Oh my goodness......there's the chickens!
